Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign tops Billboard 200 with Vultures 1.
The first week sales for Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new collab album “Vultures 1” are here, and the duo topped the US Billboard 200 chart. As per Luminate, the new joint album debuted at number 1 moving over 148,000 equivalent album units in the first week. In a statement to Complex, Ye said: “It’s a beautiful time.”
This is Ye’s 11th number 1 album, and Ty Dolla Sign’s first to top the charts. Kanye now ties with Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand for 11 number 1 albums, and the only artists ahead of him are Drake, Taylor Swift with 13, Jay-Z with 13, and The Beatles with 19.
The project was released a day late and was also removed from Apple Music a couple of times. It featured guest appearances from Lil Durk, Chris Brown, Quavo, Freddie Gibbs, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Rich The Kid and more.
The second spot on the charts was earned by Usher with his comeback album “Coming Home.” The R&B star performed at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show 2024 earlier this month.
