Steven Victor reveals Kanye West is working on the sequel of “DONDA”.
After giving us his 10th studio album “DONDA” a few months back, Kanye West has already started the work for a sequel. According to Steven Victor, Kanye West has begun the work for his next masterpiece “DONDA 2”. “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece DONDA 2,” Steven Victor told Complex. Victor has previously worked with Ye, and was a COO at GOOD Music bale and SVP of A&R at Universal Music Group.
No Further details about the upcoming project were revealed, but we could see some star-studded features on it like the previous one. Kanye West recently had a studio session with legendary Scarface. There’s also a possibility of a Drake collaboration on the album, as the Toronto rap star recently squashed beef with Yeezy, and also had a joint Free Larry Hoover concert.
Kanye West’s latest album DONDA was dropped in August and featured guest appearances from Jay-Z, DaBaby, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Baby Keem, Lil Durk, Young Thug, Ty Dolla Sign, Conway the Machine, Kid Cudi and more.
West revealed a deluxe edition of Donda will be released on November 5, 2021, in an interview with N.O.R.E. on Drink Champs, previewing a song called “Let Go.” Billboards for the deluxe version began to emerge across Los Angeles eight days later. Donda (Deluxe) was published on streaming sites on November 14, 2021. Simultaneously, a deluxe edition single with an explicit version of “Life of the Party” was published.
The album debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 and tied with Eminem for the record of most consecutive [10th] chart-topper project. It is also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
