Fat Joe Admits that even he is scared to do a VERZUZ against Busta Rhymes.
The popularity of VERZUZ Battles continues to grow after each showdown every other month. The most recent event happened between Fat Joe and Ja Rule, which featured huge appearances from Jadakiss, Ashanti, Remy Ma, and more. Fans and Hip-Hop fertility continue to give names for potential battles, like Diddy vs Dr. Dre, T.I. vs 50 Cent, and more. Fat Joe has been commenting on VERZUZ topics since the debut event last year, and once again he weighs in to praise the legendary Busta Rhymes.
In a new live stream, Fat Joe said that everyone is scared to go one on one with Busta Rhymes at Madison Square Garden, and he said even he was scared to battle the East Flatbush MC. “Busta Rhymes has a problem with a Verzuz. Fat Joe scared to do Verzuz against Busta Rhymes and so is everybody else,” he said. “You gotta understand, sometimes you ever notice, you see boxers and they knock everybody out? People be scared to fight those boxers. Busta Rhymes is gonna out-rap, out-perform anybody who goes up in the Verzuz with him. That’s a fact.”
He continues, “Yo Busta Rhymes, Nobody wanna get in there with you man. You might have to be an honorary, they gotta give you the check for no reason.”
The LOX, who recently had an incredible VERZUZ against Dipset, also praised Busta Rhymes and called him the “Hip-Hop’s Best Performer.”
Busta Rhymes was aggressively seeking a VERZUZ battle last year. After a potential fight with T.I. fell through, Busta talked with Complex and stated that he would also be up to a fight with Eminem, Lil Wayne, and JAY-Z. Furthermore, he stated that he will work with several artists at the same time.
Previously, Fat Joe also claimed that nobody can beat Eminem in a VERZUZ battle.
