New Interview Eminem Explains How To Eat Mom's Spaghetti

Eminem gives a “Mom’s Spaghetti” Interview.

Yesterday, Eminem has officially launched his new “Mom’s Spaghetti” restaurant in Detroit, which also includes a store to buy merchandise and albums. The Detroit Rapper himself made a surprise appearance at the opening, where he served some of the lucky fans through the window. He also poses for pictures and selfies, and also hugged a few people.

Before the opening of the spot, Eminem had a short conversation with Shade 45’s Rude Jude, where they both talked about Mom’s Spaghetti.

The host asked him if he tried everything on the menu. “We need to do mac and cheese,” says Eminem to his manager Paul Rosenberg. “No One’s gonna say no to mac and cheese. But it’s gonna be a really cheap con, ‘cause I’m telling you, that’s the best kind. 4-foot dollar mac and cheese. I should sit at home and get some mac and cheese for a dollar, I’m sure they still sell them, and make it to my liking and then give the recipe to Paul so he can make money off it. Right, Paul? I’m here cause Paul paid me in a sticker. He gave me a Mom’s Spaghetti sticker.

During the session, the Detroit Rapper also explains how to eat Mom’s Spaghetti. “Don’t even eat a bite of your spaghetti until you put it in the bread, Then eat it,” he says. “Cause otherwise, you’re going to ruin the whole f**king thing. That’s stupid… Don’t be stupid. Do the f**king bread. Before anything else, you put your spaghetti on the bread. If I f**king catch you doing that without the f**king bread… I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Hell… There is gonna be hell to pay. I’m not trying to offend anyone, but if you are f**king idiot, don’t eat Mom’s Spaghetti.

That’s it. My balls itch, so I’m gonna have to scratch that. I’ve got a couple of things. Busy schedule today,” Eminem says at the end.

The physical location has a walk-up diner window and The Trailer, an upstairs retail and memorabilia store (in another nod to 8 Mile). According to the press announcement, the store is tiny and “restricted to eight Stans” at a time. The menu is straightforward, with spaghetti (plain, with meatballs, or with vegan “rabbit balls”) and ‘sghetti sandwiches all for around $15. “We’re proud of the fact that we created a scratch sauce that tastes like it’s straight from the jar, and wok-firing the noodles gives it that leftover pasta snap,” said Curt Catallo, co-owner of Union Joints restaurant group. “The walk-up window and small diner-like spot for people to eat add to the feeling that this is a homegrown, DIY experience.
