Eminem Praises The D.O.C. & Raps His Lyrics In Teaser Of New Documentary

Eminem appears in an exclusive clip of the upcoming “The DOC” documentary.

A new documentary on the legendary The D.O.C. will premiere this week at the Tribeca Festival, which will take us through his legacy in hip-hop. Before the Dave Caplan directed documentary arrives, a new clip is released, which featured none other than the Detroit legend Eminem.

The “Lose Yourself” rapper always shows love to rap pioneers, and this time also he praises the Texas icon while reciting his lyrics from the “Mind Blowing” song, from the 1989 album “No One Can Do It Better”. “He was doing things that nobody had done yet, like just lyrically,” he said, before rapping the song. “I would’ve been down with Rock but I’d be broke / By the punk, I’m openin’ up my trunk / To reveal, death, livin’ it up, my life is like a story / Yellin’ it, ‘cause nobody else is tellin’ it / Checkin’ it, always gettin’ paid ‘cause the rap is sort of a twist.”

Em then called on The D.O.C as he couldn’t get the lyrics after that. “What the f**k… What was that right there?” asked Shady. “Never a segment in negative / ‘Cause I’m employin’ what you’ve been missin,’” responds DOC. “How the f**k did you do that sh*t, goddamn,” said Eminem.

The D.O.C. was engaged in a near-fatal collision after releasing the influential No One Can Do It Better, which injured his larynx and left him with a considerably raspier voice. “The DOC is a film about redemption. It’s a story about achieving your greatest dream only to have it ripped away, then to eventually find peace in an unexpected place,” said director Dave Caplan. “I can’t express how honored and grateful I am that D.O.C. allowed me to help bring his story to life and I hope that you love it as much as I do.”
