Doja Cat Says Her New Album Will Be A R&B Project Straight R&B No Rap At All

Doja Cat gives more updates about her next album.

Just recently, Doja Cat revealed that her next album will be inspired by Rave Culture, which turned out to be a lie. The 26-year-old took to her social media to share some updates about her next project, and she tweets that she’s not doing a german rave culture album, she was just trolling in her recent interview.

Doja Cat now says that her next album will not be a rap project, as she’s going in for straight R&B. “I’m not doing a german rave culture album you guys I was pranking the outlet that interviewed me about it,” she said. “I’m doing an R&B album. Straight R&B no rap at all.”.

However, the project will feature a rap verse with 8 bars. “I’m gonna rap on it tho stg,” she added. “there’s only gonna be one rap verse on it though and it’s gonna be 8 bars.”

The forthcoming project will be a follow-up to her last year’s third studio album “Planet Her“. The album featured Young Thug, The Weeknd, JID, SZA, Ariana Grande and more. The project received eight nominations at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards and won the trophy for SZA collab “Kiss Me More” in the “Best Collaboration” category.

In between projects, the platinum-selling musician has spent time working on her own well-being. She celebrated her sobriety last month, reaching 70 days without smoking. Doja sparked outrage on the Internet when she revealed her shaven head and brows. “I won a GRAMMY and traveled the f***ing globe I’ve had a #1 and I went platinum. I make hit after hit after hit and you all want me to look f****** for you so that you can go home and ***k your ***ks all day long while you live in your mothers basement. Go **** yourselves.”
