Doja Cat hits back at her critics following the release of a new track.
Doja Cat continues the rollout for the upcoming new album “Scarlet” as she unleashes her brand new single “Demons“. Following the release, people started speculating that the ‘Planet Her’ hitmaker took shots at her fellow female hip-hop artists, including Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B.
The LA native took to her IG stories and hit back at the critics, while denying dissing other female rappers. “People don’t wanna accept I’m dissing them so they try to pin it on cardi nicki and meg and every other female rapper,” Cat wrote on her IG Stories. “I don’t diss rappers I diss critics. Stay bored. Stay reaching.”
“I don’t diss people i’m inspired by i don’t diss people i look up to,” she added. “i don’t diss people who don’t harass and attack me every day. Y’ALL DO. SHE doesn’t. THEY don’t. Y’all are the problem.”
The track follows up her previous offerings “Attention” and “Paint The Town Red“, from her forthcoming new album “Scarlet” which is slated to drop on September 22. The album “Scarlet” follows up on Doja’s previous album “Planet Her,” which was released in June 2021 and received nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Grammy Awards. Additionally, Doja Cat has announced “The Scarlet Tour,” which will bring her new songs to venues across North America starting on October 31, 2023.
