Cole Bennett Calls Eminem The most hard working & humble super star

Cole Bennett reacts to “Godzilla” MTV VMAs 2020 nomination, praises Eminem.

MTV announced this year’s VMA nominations, which featured Eminem and Juice WRLD’s “Godzilla” nominated in two categories, “Video of the Year” and “Best Hip-Hop“. The voting lines are open for the event which will air on August 30. Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, who directed the video of “Godzilla“, reacted to the nominations by remembering his good friend Juice WRLD, and praising Eminem.

For the first time in a decade, Eminem has been nominated for Video of the Year at MTV’s Video Music Awards, extending his record as the most nominated artist in the show’s top category. Em has had eight nominations in the field during his career, one of which came in 2004 for D12’s “My Band.” He has won the category twice, for “The Real Slim Shady” in 2000 and “Without Me” in 2002, while his videos for “Stan” (2001), “Lose Yourself” (2003), “We Made You” (2009), and “Not Afraid” (2010) have been nominated as well. Since 1999, he’s gotten 41 VMA nominations and 13 wins, including three with D12.

Through his social media, Bennett wrote, “the Godzilla video got nominated for video of the year for the @vmas. I could really cry. this is one of the most amazing feelings. to share this moment with juice is beautiful & easily the best part about this whole moment. I’m so happy to see juice finally get recognized by a big award show. he deserves this moment more than anyone! he guided me through this whole video, I felt him every step of the way. & man, working with Eminem was one of the most surreal moments ever. he is the most humble, hard-working superstar there is. he was on set before anyone on 2 straight 14 hour days. it inspired me and pushed our whole crew to go as hard as we could.. which brings me to the next part of this incredible story, our unstoppable crew. without them, this isn’t anywhere near possible. thank you world and congratulations to everyone involved on this project. this is all of our moment! go vote at the link in my bio 🙂 I love you all.

Eminem is in the running for Video of the Year. Em’s two wins in the category make him the only artist to win the Video of the Year VMA twice, joining Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. At the awards presentation, which will take place on Aug. 30 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, “Godzilla” is also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video.
