Will Smith attacks Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards.
The 2022 Oscars ceremony took place earlier tonight at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where Will Smith won the Academy for Best Actor for the film King Richard. However, the actor/rapper is trending for one other reason which happened before his Oscar win. The “I Am Legend” actor shocked everyone as he slapped the host comedian Chris Rock for joking about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Rock was on the stage to present the trophy for best documentary, and he made some jokes about the audience members, and referred to Will Smith’s wife as “G.I. Jane”. Just after the joke, Smith walked on the stage and straight away slapped the comedian on the face, and shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.”

“I want to be a vessel for love,” said Smith after winning the Oscar. “I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care and concern. I want to apologize to the academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. … Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said … about Richard Williams. But love will make you do crazy things. … Thank you. I hope the academy invites me back.”

“And That’s How We Do It,” wrote Will Smith’s son Jaden on his twitter. “I’m feelin like will,” said Joyner Lucas, referencing their collaboration. “You have to win Oscars to do this kinda sh*t. after i win i’m gonna slap the sh*t out of a few people. LOL,” wrote 50 Cent. “Y’all pushed that ni**a Will until he snapped,” said Freddie Gibbs. “Everybody has a breaking point. Stop playin with people. Will Smith,” wrote Russ.
