Cardi B & Offset become parents of a baby boy.
Cardi B took to her Social Media to announce that she had given birth to a baby boy, her second child with rapper Offset. The 28-year-old shared a picture from the hospital room, holding her newborn alongside Offset, and revealed the birth date of the child. “9/4/21🦕💙🧸,” she wrote in the caption. The rapper duo already had a child together, a 3-year-old daughter Kulture. While the Migos’ rapper also has 3 more kids from previous relationships.
The “Wap” artist revealed her pregnancy in a surprise appearance on BET Awards in June, where she performed Migos collaboration from “Culture III“. Speaking to PEOPLE, Cardi B said, “We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son. He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Even though Cardi B was pregnant, she still continues blessing her fans with new music. She recently teamed up with Normani for “Wild Side,” and on Lizzo’s return single “Rumors.”
Offset and Cardi B married in September 2017, and their first child, Kulture, was born a year later. Cardi revealed how she told Offset about her second pregnancy during a July appearance on the live radio app Stationhead.
The Up singer revealed that she began experiencing symptoms such as car sickness and headaches two weeks before the Grammys while rehearsing for her performance with Megan Thee Stallion. “I think I’m pregnant, bro,” she later told Offset. Cardi and her husband began to laugh after confirming the pregnancy with a pregnancy test.
Earlier this month, Cardi B posted new pictures with Offset while saying that she is proud of him. “Sooo proud of you my dear Offset. May God protect you and lead you in the right paths,” she wrote.
Cardi and Offset already have a three-year-old daughter named Kulture. Offset has a daughter Kalea, six, and sons Kody, six, and Jordan, eleven, from previous relationships. Cardi and her husband began to chuckle after confirming baby No. 2 with a pregnancy test. “We just started laughing like, ‘Lord, we have so much to do,'” she recalled.
The name of the baby, Wave Set Cephus, was revealed in the couple’s first snapshot of his face. She posted pictures of Wave on her Instagram wearing a blue parka with blue fur trim and a blue beanie cap.
She included dinosaur, wave, and teddy bear emojis in the captions of the pictures. With the caption “WAVE SET CEPHUS,” Offset, 30, posted a photo of the infant wearing the necklace while bathing. Offset came up with the baby’s name, which Cardi B subsequently admitted in a tweet, writing: “When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME!”
