The Curtis Hanson-directed movie was a critical and box office success as it opened at No. 1 in the US with $51.3 million grossed in its opening weekend and it achieved a grand total of $242.9 million worldwide. The album’s soundtrack was likewise a financial triumph, earning the Recording Industry Association of America’s quadruple platinum certification (RIAA). This month has been a historic month for Eminem. Eminem was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (November 5). During the ceremony in Los Angeles, Dr. Dre conferred the accolade upon the rapper.
At the occasion, Eminem played alongside Steven Tyler, Aerosmith, and Ed Sheeran. Eminem was considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time in 2022, however he had previously attended the event.
