Watch Royce Da 5'9 on Eminem He's At That Level of Fame Where It Seems Like Sometimes People Forget That He's Human

Royce da 5’9″ talks about his song ‘Tricked’, Eminem & more.

Royce da 5’9″ who released his new album ‘The Allegory‘ last week, continues the promo run as he sat down with Complex magazine for a new where he talks about his new album, the track called “Tricked” with KXNG Crooked, Tekashi 6ix9ine, Eminem ‘Perspective‘ skit on the album and much more.

With his current release The Allegory, Royce da 5’9 may have the best album released this year, a collection of self-produced bombs for hip hop purists and quality music fans alike. Continuing his album promotion, the Detroit veteran drops a new video for the single “Tricked,” which features Slaughterhouse member KXNG Crooked and finds the duo taking a stand against riot police while singing about the lies that have been pushed upon their community.

The Complex asked him about how Eminem’s interlude come about in the album to which Royce said, “It was a conversation that he and I were having. We were talking on the phone about a few big issues. When we were done talking, I was like, “Yo, man, if I sent you a beat, you think you can re-say everything that you just said to me?” And he was like, “Well, I don’t really remember everything I said, but I could try.” I sent him a beat, and then he just started talking on it. I told him, “Be free with it. Jump all around if you need to. Just be as scatter-brained as you are when we’re talking on the phone.

Royce continues, “Me and Marshall, we have a lot of deep conversations. He’s at that level of fame where it seems like sometimes people forget that he’s human, and forget how normal he is, and forget how much respect he has to the craft and for the art. And just how socially aware he is. As a very important white artist in hip hop, he realizes the social responsibility that he has. And I think he expressed that.

The song can be found on Royce’s eighth studio album, The Allegory, which features DJ Premier, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, T.I., Vince Staples, and others among its guests.

Royce feels that vaccinations are one of the ways the public has been duped. In the song, he makes the connection between vaccinations and autism, rapping, “From day one at the hospital they target our children/Say they gonna immunize ’em they somehow get autism.”

This is a theory that has been debunked by medical experts. “A considerable amount of research over the last 15 years has established no association between the MMR vaccination and ASD [autism spectrum disorders],” according to the Journal of the American Medical Association. Royce, on the other hand, is certain about his opinion. In a brief interview with Complex, Royce revealed that his son has autism and that this has influenced his unorthodox opinions. For clarity and duration, the dialogue has been minimally modified. The video for “Tricked,” which Complex is proud to debut, can be seen below.
