NBA Youngboy speaks on Young Dolph and Virgil Abloh Deaths.
The world of Hip-Hop and Fashion suffered the loss of Young Dolph and Virgil Abloh. While rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown Memphis, Louis Vuitton and Off-White designer Virgil Abloh died after fighting cancer for over two years. NBA Youngboy, recently out from prison on bail after being behind bars for over seven months, also addresses the death of two artists in the latest clubhouse talk with DJ Akademiks.
How did Young Dolph Die?
Memphis rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown, outside a cookie store. Maurice Hill, the owner of the shop where the shooting happened, Makeda’s Butter Cookies, told FOX13 his employees said Young Dolph, 36, walked into the store to buy cookies. Someone then drove up and shot and killed him at the South Memphis bakery. The rapper was 36 years old at the time of his death.
When Akademiks brought up the conversation and mourns the deaths of Dolph and Abloh’s, NBA Youngboy responds, “You know, that’s really not a bad thing, though.” The listeners were surprised by the response, then Akademiks asked Youngboy what he means by that.
Youngboy replied “The only sad part is you can’t carry on with your life or just be there for your family, but you know, that’s not really a bad thing. You changing form. You going to the next chapter. That sh*t ain’t no bad thing, you going to a better place.”
How did Virgil Abloh Die?
Virgil Abloh, the Louis Vuitton and Off-White designer has passed away at the age of 41. The art director had been battling a rare Cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma for some years. Virgil Abloh’s team and family has released a statement on social media.
YoungBoy is said to be residing at a mentor’s house in Utah after a judge ordered him to be under strict house arrest. During the interview, the rapper also discussed staying away from marijuana, saying that he has been utilising vapes to help curb his urge for the sticky icky.
This week, NBA Youngboy will join forces with Birdman for a new joint mixtape “From The Bayou“.
