NBA Youngboy is Considering Retirement I Lost Love For Music

NBA Youngboy reveals he thinking about quitting music.

NBA Youngboy, the rapper who was recently released from bail after being behind bars for seven months, connected with DJ Akademiks through Clubhouse for a conversation on various topics. The Louisiana rapper had been dominating hip-hop for the past couple of years, especially on youtube. But the “Sincerely, Kentrell” rapper is already lost love for the music and had been thinking about giving up on rap for over a year.

The news comes only days after all of his music videos on his YouTube site — the medium where he originally acquired a passionate following — unexpectedly vanished. So yet, no one has addressed the matter, and it is unclear if it was the artist’s fault or YouTube’s.

“I lost love for music and it brings too many problems,” he said. “I been waiting to stop making music for about one and a half years.” Even though he’s thinking about retirement, the “Top” rapper is teaming up with Birdman for a new mixtape “From The Bayou” this Friday.

During the interview, Akademiks asked “You about to drop something new?” to which YoungBoy replied, “Friday. I’m gonna drop Friday. I’m gonna drop a video tomorrow though.”

This year, NBA Youngboy dropped his album called “Sincerely, Kentrell” which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 after moving over 138k units in the first week.

His chart domination paled in comparison to his YouTube views, but NBA YoungBoy has now had all of his music videos pulled from the streaming site. No explanation has been provided by YouTube or the rapper’s management team, despite the fact that he is now under house arrest and can only operate from his home studio.

A bucket list of the NBA Youngboy surfaces online, which he wrote back in April 2018. The first point on the bucket list was to drop his debut album, which happened in the same month as he released “Until Death Call My Name” on 27th April 2018. The other points include collab with Adele on the song, Have a Daughter, giving back to schools in his community, getting off probation and being free, leaving Louisiana for good, earning a platinum album, and winning a Grammy.
