John Salley talks about Eminem & Snoop Dogg situation.
The former American Basketball player John Salley recently sat down with DJ Vlad where he was asked about his thoughts on Eminem taking shots at Snoop Dogg on his song ‘Zeus‘ off his latest project.
After hearing the verse where Eminem disses Snoop, John Salley says, “That’s an unbelievable lyric. I had dog backwards. That is dope.”
“It’d be great, let me tell you, man. If Snoop Dogg does an Eminem diss record,” says Vlad.
“It would be the biggest mistake in Snoop Dogg’s life,” says Salley. “Let me tell you again, the biggest mistake in Snoop Dogg’s life would to be do a reply song. Snoop is Hip-Hop, Jay-Z is great, Nas is great, Biggie is great, Tupac is great, Eminem is great. Hip-Hop as it is as we see it, it’s Snoop Dogg. To the point where everybody knows that. So when you walk in and you see Snoop, you think we and Hip-Hop, right. That’s what you think, you think of the dog what he changed how everything like Biggie said right. I want to sell records like Snoop. So for Snoop to even look at that and reply to it, he’d be like remember, Eminem just said you were a god to me. He can say hey man I left you out because I didn’t want to put you in this whole thing and leave it at that. But just don’t go after Eminem. Let me tell you the lyrical prowess of this young man, I know we don’t mention it. But like Royce da 5’9″, I’ma tell you, I’ve heard a lot of rappers in my life. But Eminem putting words together, don’t, don’t do it.”
Some of Eminem’s most vicious bars and name-drops from “Music To Be Murdered By: Side B” can be found in “Zeus,” which features New York recording artist White Gold. The fourteenth song on the album, and the second to include White Gold, is this one. Along with Royce da 5’9,” he also performs on “You Gon’ Learn.” Eminem starts by slamming Tekashi 6ix9ine and Machine Gun Kelly, who have been feuding with Em since 2012. Eminem winds his way through a plethora of topics, including references to The Roots’ Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter, Chris Brown and Rihanna’s 2009 feud, Snoop Dogg’s 2020 Breakfast Club remarks, a brief tribute to victims of police brutality, and callbacks to his October 2013 hit single, “Rap God,” among others, all set to stellar production by T-Minus and Luca Mauti.
However, the whole thing is sorted now as Snoop Dogg said that he and Eminem are good now.
