Is Drake planning to drop more new music? DJ Akademiks believes so.
Drake recently dropped his brand new album “Certified Lover Boy” which broke several streaming and chart records. The album debuted at number 1 on Billboard, with the highest first-week numbers of 2021. Since the big project already had 21 songs, there’s less possibility of getting some bonus tracks or a deluxe version, but DJ Akademiks, a known Drizzy supporter thinks that we will hear more new music from the Toronto Rap star soon.
“Here’s the great thing about Drake,” says Akademiks in his recent Twitch stream. “I think Drake is gonna drop more music… first of all, he’s very aware of what people perceive his career like, if it’s trending up or down. I think he’s gonna drop new music in the next two months, facts. Or he’s gonna drop a single.”
Despite the fact that Certified Lover Boy was a commercial triumph for Drake and his crew, most fans did not consider it an instant classic, since some think the rapper has become stale. DJ Akademiks, a self-described Drake mega-fan, recently spoke on Twitch about how Drizzy is one of the most self-aware musicians, which is why he believes he’ll return with even more new songs soon.
Recently, it was also reported that there is a possibility of a potential collaboration between NBA Youngboy and Drake is cooking up, which was revealed by OG 3Three. Drake’s latest album topped the Billboard 200 for straight three weeks but was dethroned by NBA Youngboy’s new offering “Sincerely, Kentrell” by a small margin. But now, the project is again expected to hold the top spot on the US chart, denying Meek Mill’s “Expensive Pain” the number 1.
When Drake dropped his album a few weeks back, Akademiks went viral for the hilarious moment on his live stream, where he was hyping the project, but end up falling asleep while streaming it live.
