50 Cent Thinks Eminem Had A Terrible Experience on 8 Mile Movie

50 Cent talks about Eminem, BMF show, Snoop Dogg, and more in a new interview.

50 Cent recently made a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live for a new interview with the host where he talks about how rich Jimmy is, going to visit his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, taking his nine-year-old son Sire to a candy store on his birthday, playing video games together, all the shows he’s working on and more. Jimmy Kimmel also asked 50 Cent about Eminem playing a role in his new show “BMF” and how it all happened.

I persuaded him to come. I actually directed the episode that he’s in. I called him, I put pressure on him,” said 50 Cent. Eminem is playing the role of ‘White Boy Rick’ in one of the episodes. Real ‘White Boy Rick’ also reacted to it as said it was an honor to have Eminem play him in the series.

Then Jimmy Kimmel mentions the ‘8 Mile’ which was a huge hit but still Eminem doesn’t do movies anymore. “I think he had a terrible experience on the “8 Mile” project ‘cause he just didn’t want to go back again, ever again,” said Fifty. “There were periods Hollywood would offer me things to get him. His agent would go, ‘Yeah, this is good. Give it to Fifty, let Fifty take it to Em.’ So it was like projects they offered him $8 million to do it. He’ll look at it and go, Yeah, yeah, I read it. I just think we should do like ‘Warriors’.’ Like the old movie ‘Warriors’, from the 70s, Then I am like, ‘Did you just miss the‘$8 million part?’ Im looking like, It doesn’t move him at all. He’s like, ‘Let’s go record records man.’

When asked why he chose Shady to play White Boy Rick, the first acting job for e since 8 Mile, 50 Cent responded“It was not that difficult to get Em, because we have a great relationship and if he ever finds a point where he could do something to help or support me or catapult me to the next level, he’s the first guy in line to do it.”

Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, and Serayah make brief appearances in 50 Cent’s upcoming series. 50 says he tried to persuade Snoop Dogg to give up using marijuana when he was directing him. He would simply say, “50, it’s legal!” when asked to slow down before coming on set and doing his takes.

50 Cent also talked about Snoop Dogg playing a role in the show. “Snoop did his thing, I actually directed that episode too. It was great, you know you can’t get him to stop smoking weeds. I went to the trailer, I was like ‘yo could you just chill,’ and he was like, ‘get out of here man.’ He was like, ‘It’s legal Fif, why you tryna mess up my day’ [laughs].

In the late 1980s, two brothers named Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory rose from the streets of southwest Detroit to found one of the country’s most powerful crime families, which was the inspiration for Cent’s song “BMF”. White Boy Rick was just a media coverage for the real bad guys, the Flenory Brothers.
