50 Cent Says People Will Be Blown Away By Eminem's Episode of BMF Show

50 Cent talks about getting Eminem & Snoop Dogg for the “BMF” show.

Earlier tonight, 50 Cent’s highly anticipated new Starz show “Black Mafia Family” premiered on television. 50 Cent’s BMF show is based on the true story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who rose from the streets of Southwest Detroit in the late 1980s, and by the 2000s, they became one of the most influential crime gang in the country. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson recently had an interview with Newsweek where he talked about the “BMF” show, which will also feature his good friends Eminem and Snoop Dogg.

50 Cent revealed that he originally wanted to play Pastor Swift’s role on the show, but threw himself out for Snoop Dogg. “I actually threw myself out of this one. I was originally cast to play Pastor Swift, the role that Snoop [Dogg] is now playing,” says 50. “It’s because I knew I had to market this whilst also doing promotional stuff for Raising Kanan which I did a voiceover for, and I didn’t want that to be in people’s minds when I reappeared in BMF. I thought Snoop did a very good job and I got the chance to direct him. He was very prepared, he worked on it. Snoop went in there with the attitude to bring the character to life.

The POWER mogul also details how he ended up getting Eminem to do a role in the show, who hasn’t act in anything since his critically acclaimed 2002’s movie “8 Mile”. “It was not that difficult to get Em, because we have a great relationship and if he ever finds a point where he could do something to help or support me, or catapult me to the next level, he’s the first guy in line to do it,” Fifty said.

Eminem will play the role of “White Boy Rick” on the show, a character who they will show across different ages. Curtis reveals telling Eminem about the technology which is getting used in the process. “‘Yo, they have this technology they used in The Irishman where we can bring you back down to your teenage age’ and he was like ‘yo, let’s do it.’

50 Cent also believes that people will love the episode featuring Eminem, and it might end up winning an award. “I think people are going to be blown away by it, it may even end up winning an award. If they don’t give me one, I’m gonna buy a trophy for it,” he says.

50 Cent stated that he felt obliged to share the BMF tale since it was a welcome break from his prior televised appearances, “Coming off of the success of a fictional story, like Power, this is something I feel like people will watch for more intensity, knowing that it actually happened, that it’s a true story.”

The Black Mafia Family’s link to hip hop and music culture lends a new dimension to Power, Power Book II: Ghost, and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which 50 Cent admits drew him in.
