NBA Youngboy shares a new song “Emo Rockstar”.
NBA Youngboy continues putting out new material as he unleashes another new single called “Emo Rockstar“. The track is produced by Exavis, 12Hunna & DY Krazy, and it comes along with an official video which is directed by Nick Belotti. As the title suggests, Youngboy shows his rockstar side with guitar, drums and more inside a garage, which rocking facial paint.
“My heart shackled down, kill me if they can take my head off / Mama, I got millions, I go and buy a big house / Won’t forgive if it’s civilians, when I let that stick off / They just waitin’ on the kid fall, they done got me pissed off,” he raps.
In a few videos, Youngboy has lately started painting his face. Throughout this song, he responds to those who teased him and said he was wearing makeup by saying he is unconcerned and will do as he pleases.
The rapper from Baton Rouge stated during a Clubhouse interview earlier last month. “I like to look in the mirror and see everything black, my eyes and s**t.”
“Emo Rockstar,” like the video for “Heart & Soul/Alligator Walk,” appears to have been shot in YoungBoy’s house. This time, though, YoungBoy assumes the role of a rock and roll leader, enlisting the help of a drummer, throwing a guitar over his shoulder, and holding a microphone. He even wears facepaint on occasion. Despite the song’s title, it’s not a whole sonic overhaul: “Emo Rockstar” contains the type of guitar-driven beat that’s quite popular with rappers right now, with YoungBoy most recently attempting it on “Toxic Punk” from this year’s Sincerely, Kentrell.
The Baton Rouge rapper recently teamed up with Birdman for a joint project called “From The Bayou“.
