Jadakiss Releases Studio Version of Who Shot Ya Freestyle

Jadakiss drops “Who Shot Ya Freestyle” on streaming platforms.

Earlier this month, The LOX and Dipset go head to head in a VERZUZ battle, where the trio of Sheek Louch, Styles P, and Jadakiss came out victories. In the battle, Jadakiss destroyed Dipset with his incredible performance, which had everybody calling him one of the most underrated rappers ever. The Jadakiss track which fans loved the was an unreleased freestyle over Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya”. Now kiss has decided to put out the freestyle on all streaming platforms, as their streaming number doubled after the VERZUZ performance.

The fan favourite was played by the LOX singer during his Verzuz duel with Dipset earlier this month, but it was never available to watch until now. The single features Jada spitting over The Notorious B.I.G classic and is available in both live and studio versions.

Jadakiss’ “Who Shot Ya” is currently accessible on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and other streaming services in both studio and live versions. While it’s not brand new, it’s still a welcome bonus for Jada fans, and we can only hope that the rest of his mixtape collection will follow suit one day. Lyrically, he more than meets Big’s expectations, demonstrating why he can safely proclaim himself to be in the Top 5 dead or alive with little to no competition.

I don’t know you, you ain’t familiar
And I don’t care who shot you cause they ain’t kill ya’
As far as the word play, I’m a son of a bi**h
These ni**as is decent, but ain’t none of ’em Kiss,” he raps.

The rap battle was triggered by Jim Jones late last year. When questioned in December who Dipset would like to see in a Verzuz, he dismissed G-Unit, noting their history of feuding. “Dipset and The LOX, a lot of camaraderie, a lot of good energy, a lot of energy to bounce off each other,” he explained.
“Cam, Jadakiss, and Styles P literally started the same year to get into this game off of freestyles and things like that. We represent the uptown part of New York City. We represent the culture for New York City. We’ve been pillars in this industry for the past 20 some odd years along with the whole Ruff Ryders enterprise. I think it would be more suitable.”

The LOX’s member performed the fan favourite earlier this month during his Verzuz duel with Dipset, but it was never available on streaming services until now. The single, which is available in both live and studio versions, has Jada spitting over a classic by The Notorious B.I.G. The Diplomats’ “Rap Superheroes Tour,” which launches off Sept. 16 in Atlanta, will include Jada and The LOX.

The LOX set the violent tone for the whole night of action with their appearances on N.O.R.E.’s “Banned From TV” and DMX’s “N—az Done Started Something” early in the bare knuckle rap duel. Dipset provided glimmers of optimism with strong performances from Jim Jones and Cam’ron on tracks like “Byrd Gang Money” and “Get Em Girls,” but The LOX delivered too many knockout punches for the Harlem collective to recover.

With their vociferous reactions to the vintage albums performed by these iconic collectives, the New York crowd that represented Harlem, Yonkers, and the five boroughs played a significant part in the event. Guests included Fat Joe, French Montana, Fabolous, A$AP Ferg, and others.
