Drake unveils the new Lil Uzi Vert collab “At The Gates”.
This week, Drake officially released his new song “Search & Rescue” which surfaced online a week before with the name “Rescue Me“. The song made headlines as it featured Kim Kardashian’s sample from her show Keeping Up with the Kardashians series.
The Toronto rapper now decided to preview more unreleased music as he previews a new song “At The Gates” on Sirius XM’s Sound 42 radio. The song is a collab with Lil Uzi Vert, and it was originally teased back in late 2021.
“Brought her to the crib, she walked the front, on some holy sh*t / Don’t ask for no feature, only rappin’ on my homies’ sh*t / Let my brothers come up off my name and they don’t owe me sh*t / I can’t let you come up off my name till I’m at the gates, pearly,” raps Drizzy.
Although this marks the first time they’ve worked together, Drake has previously expressed his admiration for Lil Uzi Vert. He invited him to perform on stage during J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival last week and also during his own show at the Apollo in January. “I love this guy so much,” Drake told the crowd. “Not only are you one of the greatest artists of this time, I’m so excited to exist at the same time as you, how experimental you get, how genius you are. But this guy checks up on me, he’s a fu**in’ real one.”
