Cassidy drops a new Tory Lanez diss “Lullaby”.
Cassidy and Tory Lanez’s rivalry is still going strong. Tory previously accused the Philadelphia rapper of biting his style during a freestyle, but the Canadian rapper maintained he was only giving appreciation. The response was insufficient, and a back-and-forth on wax and social media began. While Tory just responded with a freestyle over A$AP Rocky’s “Ghetto Symphony,” Cassidy is back with a whole new freestyle in response to the “SKAT” rapper’s next. Cassidy is back with another new Tory Lanez diss. Following last week’s 7-minute track “Plagiarism“, Cassidy now fires shots at Tory Lanez in the new song called “Lullaby“. It is the third Tory Lanez diss from Cassidy, the first being “Perjury“. We only received one lyrical response from Tory Lanez, in the song called “When Its Dark“.
With seamless multi-syllabic rhyme schemes stressing his history in the combat rap arena, Cassidy’s three-and-a-half-minute effort displays his punchline talent in plain sight. Though it demonstrates Cass’ ability to adapt to modern production, which has been a recurring critique of his previous albums, the record lacks punch.
It’s unlikely that we get a new diss track from Lanez, as he made fun of Cassidy under a post on IG. He was on YouTube searching like…. ‘YOUNG N***A TYPE BEAT.'” wrote Lanez.

The whole situation between the two MCs arises when Lanez made his second appearance on the Funk Flex show for a freestyle, where he spits bars over a classic Cassidy song “I’m a Hustla”. Then Cassidy accused Tory of stealing his lyrics and flow, and that happened in both of his freestyles on the Funk Flex show. After that, the Canadian artist responds to Cassidy and said that he was just paying homage as he was one of his favorite artists.
