Beyonce releases her new single “Break My Soul”.
Following the announcement of her new project, Beyonce makes her return to the music with a brand new song called “Break My Soul”. The track which is produced by Tricky Stewart, The-Dream and Beyonce herself, samples Robin S.’s 1990 dance hit, “Show Me Love”. The track also featured additional vocals and another sample from bounce legend Big Freedia and her 2014 record “Explode”.
The new track serves as the lead single to Beyonce’s seventh studio album “RENAISSANCE” which was announced last week. This will be her first solo studio effort since 2016’s “Lemonade“, and will drop on July 29th.

“Now, I just fell in love, and I just quit my job / I’m gonna find new drive, damn, they work me so damn hard / Work by nine, then off past five / And they work my nerves, that’s why I cannot sleep at night,” she sings.
The latest single of Beyonce’s’ Break My Soul’ uses samples from Show Me Love & Explode by Robin S & Big Freedia who were the collaborative partners of Beyonce on Formation. Big Freedia took to Twitter to express how she felt to work with Beyonce again. The New Orleans bounce star said that she felt surreal to work with the star.
