Vado shares his new project “Long Run Vol. 2”.
Vado continues putting out new material as the Harlem rapper releases his brand new mixtape called “Long Run Vol. 2”, a sequel to his 2019’s effort. Vado recently formed a new group “The Council” with Lloyd Banks and Dave East.
The new project contains 18 tracks, with guest appearances from Lloyd Banks on “It’s Alright”, Dave East on “Blessed”, Jim Jones & Dave East on “Checkmate”, Don Q & Papoose on “Sleepers” and more.
The album came barely a month after Vado announced the creation of The Council, a new supergroup comprising Lloyd Banks and Dave East. When Complex published the trio’s first track “Respect the Jux” in December, Vado disclosed the song’s title is a reference to a future film in which he would star.
“’Respect the Jux’ is taken from my project, Long Run 2, but it will also be the title track from a movie which I will appear in next year,” Vado said of the song. “This is the soundtrack of the gritty NYC streets, so it’s only right I went and got two of the grittiest lyricists to join me in Lloyd Banks and Dave East; AKA Bank Matthews and Dave Hyatt. The track is produced by my fellow Harlemite ‘6 Figure Digga.’”
A month ago, Vado announced the establishment of The Council, a new supergroup that includes Dave East and Lloyd Banks. Vado said the song’s title is the same as the name of a forthcoming film he’ll be in when Complex debuted the trio’s first single, “Respect the Jux,” in December.
“Respect the Jux” is from my upcoming album, Long Run 2, but it also serves as the theme song for a movie that I’ll be in next year, he explained. “Lloyd Banks and Dave East, also known as Bank Matthews and Dave Hyatt, are joining me since this is the soundtrack of the grimy NYC streets,” the rapper said.
The production is handled by Renegade, GP Beat Bangerz, Dolla Bill Kidz, G Sparkz and more.
