Lil Nas X drops his new album “MONTERO.”
It’s finally here. Lil Nas X has dropped his highly anticipated debut album “MONTERO.” “creating this album has been therapy for me. i’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who i am, what i can do, and where i will be. i’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own,” Lil Nas wrote while announcing the project last month.
The project contains 15 tracks with guest appearances from Elton John on “One of Me”, Megan Thee Stallion on “Dolla Sign Slime”, Miley Cyrus on “Am I Dreaming”, and Doja Cat on “Scoop”.
The LP has a positive look and contains collaborations with people like Miley Cyrus and Elton John. Nas was a campy and confused lead up to its release. In early September, the musician revealed his pregnancy and a protracted sequence of baby showers and soundtracks.
Montero and a full lot of visual album tracks, a music video, and a skit named ‘The Montero Show‘ were unleashed on the world last night.
He already dropped his Jack Harlow collaboration “Industry Baby” which they also performed at recent MTV VMAs 2021. The title track, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” was dropped back in March and topped Billboard Hot 100, earning Lil Nas his second number one hit on the chart after “Old Town Road”. The song went platinum in April. The track also bagged the video of the year award at MTV Video Music Awards.
In the latest interview on The Breakfast Club, Lil Nas revealed that he originally wanted Drake for “Dolla Sign Slime” but he was busy working on “Certified Lover Boy.”
