Benny The Butcher drops a new “Pyrex Picasso” EP.
Benny The Butcher continues dropping new material as the Griselda MC releases his new short project called “Pyrex Picasso“. The EP contains a pack of 7 tracks with guest appearances from Conway The Machine on “Fly With Me” & the title track, Elcamino on “PWRDRL” & “73”, along with Rick Hyde.
Benny The Butcher and his Black Soprano Family collective had a big year last year, starting with their joint release with DJ Drama in July. Benny would reunite with Hit-Boy months later for his sophomore studio album Burden of Proof, which included Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Dom Kennedy, Queen Naija, and Griselda collaborators Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine, among others. Members of the BSF also performed original music, such as Hyde’s Plates 2 on the Way EP and Heem’s Long Story Short with DJ Green Lantern.
Prior to the debut of Pyrex Picasso, Benny had a few choice words for imitators of Griselda’s mood. “It’s crazy that n****s want to copy your moves just to be in competition with you,” Benny said in an Instagram story. “N****s want you to sharpen their sword so they can go and battle against you. Stop the bulls**t. Pay homage. There’s only one Griselda, pu**y.”
The project is a follow-up to Benny The Butcher’s joint project “The Plugs I Met 2” with Harry Fraud.
