Beyonce drops a new song ‘Spirit’.
Beyonce returns to the music scene as she releases her brand new song called ‘Spirit‘. The track will appear on the soundtrack to the new Lion King movie which has its Hollywood premiere today and will be released worldwide on July 19th.
On July 11, Walt Disney Records will also release The Gift and the original score for the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Lion King. Beyoncé and Donald Glover’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” is included.
“This is sonic cinema,” said Beyonce of the new album in a statement. “This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop, and Afro Beat.”
The soundtrack which is called ‘Lion King: The Gift‘ will also release along with the movie and it will be curated and executive produced by Beyonce. Listen to the new song below.
