Kendrick Lamar shares “squabble up” visual.
Kendrick Lamar continues putting out new material as he now drops a music video for his song titled “Squabble Up.” The song is producer by Scott Bridgeway, Sounwave, Jack Antonoff & Matthew “MTech” Bernard & Kendrick himself, while the visual is directed by Calmatic.
“Tell me why the f–k you ni–as rap if it’s fictional? / Tell me why the f–k you ni–as fed if you criminal? / “Ayy, Dot, can I get a drop?” I’m like, “Ni–a, nah” / Ace boon coon from the Westside to Senegal / It’s a full moon, let the wolves out, I been a dog (Ah),” he raps.
The song appeared on Lamar’s latest surprise album GNX, which is projected to debut atop the Billboard 200 next week.
The new video features nod to Ice-T’s “Power” artwork, Menace II Society reference, shouts out to Nate Dogg and Isaac Hayes albums, a cameo from CUZZOS and more.
