Wale shares a video for “Poke It Out” with J. Cole.
Last week, Wale reunited with his long-time collaborator and good friend J. Cole for a new collaboration called “Poke It Out“. Now “More About Nothing” rapper decided to drop the official video for the song, which is directed by Chris Robinson. The track added into their long list of joints, including “Rather Be With You”, “Beautiful Bliss”, and “Yo Got It”.
A couple of days back, Wale also announced his new project “Floarin 2“, which will be released later this month on October 22nd. It is the sequel to his mixtape which was dropped way back in 2012.
Wale is working on a new album, and what better way to start than by tagging his colleague and longtime rap partner, Cole. With an infectious Cool & Dre rhythm along the track’s ribs, including the same electric bass sample utilized in Q-Tip’s 1999 hit “Vivrant Thing”—Wale fills up the body with bars that urge the crowd to get up and dance.
Ahead of Wale’s album Ambition’s ten-year anniversary, Folarin 2 will be released. The 17-track album marked a turning point for him as a signed artist as he moved deeper into his niche. Another popular hit from this album was “Lotus Flower Bomb” by Miguel. “Slight Work,” “White Linen (Coolin),” and “Illest Bi**h” were three further favourites from Ambition.
Cole just said that the Dreamville Festival will come back for two days in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2022. The concert is slated to take place from April 2 to April 3 in Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park, but the chart-topper hasn’t yet revealed the roster.
