Dreamville shares the “Stick” music video with JID, J. Cole, Kenny Mason & Sheck Wes.
After teasing it earlier this week, Dreamville shared the official video for the song titled “Stick”. The track features music from JID, J. Cole, Kenny Mason & Sheck Wes. The song is one of the fan-favourite off the DJ Drama collab project “D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape”.
“Money so long, if I start in the south and then spread this sh*t out, it’d be touchin’ like Portland / So it’s no wonder I’m walkin’ with caution, I know that God got his grace with me / But I’ll still treat a ride through the hood like a hike through the woods, got a stick that I take with me,” raps Cole.
J. Cole, the creator of Dreamville, has been busy touring the festival circuit this summer, but he found time to speak with Jazzy’s World TV before his performance at the Governor’s Ball in New York City. According to the interviewing prodigy, this wouldn’t have been possible if J.I.D hadn’t set them up, and J.I.D came through with the connection.
“I was definitely very blessed to interview Mr. J. Cole because he’s one of my favorite rappers and it meant a lot to me. I also wanted to use my platform to inspire other people to stay persistent in their goals and their dreams,” she said. “We all have a purpose on this Earth and in order to gain that purpose, we need to work on it. I also want to give a big shout-out to J.I.D who played a major role in making the interview happen. I’m grateful. Thank you, J.I.D.”
