Drake shares a visual for “Knife Talk”.
Following a teaser earlier today, Drake is back with more new material as he releases a new music video for his song called “Knife Talk“. The track features guest appearances from 21 Savage and Project Pat. The visual follows up Drake’s previous offering “Way 2 Sexy” with Future and Young Thug.
“Knife Talk,” a noteworthy tune off Drake’s sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, which was released roughly two months ago, was co-produced by Metro Boomin and Peter Lee Johnson. The song borrows Juicy J’s 2017 single “Feed the Streets,” which features ASAP Rocky and Project Pat; in a September interview with 360 Plug Hype, the latter revealed that “Knife Talk” was initially planned for 21’s album.
The new black and white video is directed by Pablo Rochat, which is inspired by some old horror movies, where Drake holds a large knife, features some scary scenes. The track appeared on Drizzy’s latest album “Certified Lover Boy” which is back at number 1 on Billboard 200 this week.
The companion video for “Knife Talk” comes after a much more cheerful one for Future and Young Thug-assisted “Way 2 Sexy,” which has had lots of iconic moments through and even had NBA player Kawhi Leonard in a surprise. The track has proceeded to reach the top of Billboard’s Hot 100, earning Future and Thugger’s first and third number-one songs on the list, respectively, and Drake’s eighth.
