Mary J. Blige shares visual for “Rent Money” with Dave East.
Mary J. Blige continues putting out new material as the Queen of hip-hop soul teams up with Dave East for the official video for their collaboration “Rent Money”. The D’Mile produced track appeared on Mary’s new fourteenth studio album “Good Morning Gorgeous” which dropped last night.
In a couple of days, Mary J. Blige will join Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar this Sunday for the performance at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show.
The latest video for a song off the album features Mary J. Blige in a casino, representing the song’s words about gambling away her love for someone who didn’t deserve it. Throughout the video, Blige wins huge at roulette before losing it all. It’s directed by Eif Rivera. She then attempts to defraud her way back to wealth, only to be apprehended by security. Dave East appears in the video as the casino’s dealer, rapping about seeking females with clout.
