6LACK drops the video for ‘East Atlanta Love Letter’ featuring Future.
6LACK’s new album ‘East Atlanta Love Letter‘ is out now and it is expected to move over 60k copies in the first week. He decided to put out the music video from the project as he drops the first one for the title track featuring Future.
Yesterday he also announced a world tour in support of his new album. East Atlanta Love Letter is 6LACK’s follow-up to 2016’s Free 6lack. According to the project’s description, it is “an open love letter from 6LACK to his daughter, family, friends, past and current lovers.” In addition to J. Cole, Future, Offset, and Khalid appear on the album.
East Atlanta Love Letter opened at number three on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, selling 77,000 album-equivalent units (including 20,000 copies as pure album sales) in its first week. This was 6lack’s first top-ten debut in the United States and his highest-charting release in the country to date. The album fell to number 12 on the chart in its second week, collecting an additional 32,000 copies. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on December 10, 2020, for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over 500,000 copies in the United States.
