Logic shares the new song “Highlife”.
Logic continues putting out new music as he releases a brand new song called “Highlife”, which is produced by Jordan Monsanto and Michael Holland. The song arrives with a visual directed by Kevin Smith, who also makes a cameo along with Jason Mewes and more.
This follows up his previous offering “Maybach Music“, and it will appear on his forthcoming album “College Park” which is due to release on February 24th.
“I said come on down if you don’t then I’mma have to show you / Don’t overthink it let it go, just let it happen for ya / Come on down take a hit after I light it up / You know we gonna fly after I light it up,” he raps.
The cast for the music video includes a number of well-known names, including Smith as Silent Bob, Brian O’Halloran as Dante, Jeff Anderson as Randal, Jason Mewes as Jay, Matt Ranieri as Mooby, and Ernie O’Donnell as the Trainer. Rapper Logic has been a big fan of Kevin Smith’s work for a long time. In fact, Smith reached out to the rapper through a direct message on Instagram, inviting him to join the cast of “Clerks III”. Unfortunately, Logic missed the notification, but once they finally connected, the two developed a strong friendship and ended up collaborating on the “Highlife” music video together.
