Lil Durk drops the video for “Petty Too” with Future.
Lil Durk is back with some new material as he now connects with Future for the official video for their song called “Petty Too”. The duo previously performed the track at the Jimmy Fallon Show. The track is one of standouts off Smurk’s latest album “7220“, which becomes his first-ever solo album to be debuted at #1 on Billboard.
The pair opened the section with a severely restricted performance of “Petty Too” — the ninth time Lil Durk and Future have collaborated — before Lil Durk entered the stage to sing “Ahh Ha.” Both songs are off Lil Durk’s latest album, 7220, which was released last week. The album contains cameos from rapper Gunna, country singer Morgan Wallen, and singer-songwriter Summer Walker, and is the Chicago rapper’s first full-length solo effort since 2020’s The Voice. (In 2021, Lil Durk and Lil Baby collaborated on an album called The Voice of the Heroes.)
“He got caught with a bi**h I hit like twice, but I denied / I put my lil’ bi**h on him, he thinking with his d**k, so he gon’ slide / You can’t call me petty, me, I share my bi**hes with the guys / I got bi**hes who I f**k and they got names, but I can’t brag,” raps Durk.
“Cutting off my partner, was thinkin’ trappin’ wasn’t no hobby / Drop you off the label, you ain’t ready to catch a body / Plugged up like cable, you gon’ think I’m Black Mafia / Sub twins, soon as we catch up, nine dollar,” raps Future.
With 2,500 pure album sales in its first week and 120,500 album-equivalent units sold, 7220 debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 list. Following his joint effort with fellow American rapper Lil Baby, The Voice of the Heroes (2021), this was Durk’s second US number one debut on the chart, and it also marked his first top-charting solo album. Additionally, 164.81 million times of the album’s tracks were streamed on demand.
