Drake shares official visual for “Falling Back”.
Earlier tonight, Drake surprised everyone with a brand new album “Honestly, Nevermind“, which was announced just a few hours before the release. The 14-track project featured a lone appearance from 21 Savage.
The Toronto rap star now decided to put out a new music video from the album, for his song called “Falling Back”. The visual is over 9 minutes long, with cameos from Tristan Thompson, Dan Finnerty, Drake’s mother and more.
Drake returns to his performing roots in the video, marrying multiple ladies in an extravagant wedding that also features fellow Canadian Tristan Thompson and his mother Sandi Graham. Drake gives each of the girls a particular time before putting a ring on their fingers, executing their individual handshakes. A “Free YSL” message pops on the screen around the 1:50 minute, as he prepares for another handshake, signifying solidarity for Young Thug, Gunna, and others who were recently detained in Georgia on RICO charges. This isn’t the only time he mentions the case; in the song “Sticky,” he raps about “freeing Big Slime out of the prison.” Director X directed the visuals, which were executive produced by Taj Critchlow and Fuliane Petikyan.
