DaBaby and NBA Youngboy drops visual for “Bestie”.
DaBaby and NBA Youngboy continue putting out new material as the duo now releases music video for their song called “Bestie”. The track was first dropped in January as a dual song with “Hit“, for which they already released a video. The track is off their latest joint album “Better Than You“. This follows up their recent music video “Neighborhood Superstar“.
“Twenty Ms and ni**a, I think I ain’t rich enough / Two Ms in real estate, gotta buy me some more / I be buildin’ my listin’ up / Late night with the baddest bi**hes / They all can get it, a hunnid percent if I’m feelin’ her,” raps Youngboy.
The “Bestie” dance challenge demonstrates that the couple has more ambitious goals for the project than relying just on revenues. The viral dancing challenge is the newest way DaBaby and YoungBoy have been marketing their collaboration, and it appears to be working.
Despite modest sales estimates, the album quietly creeped up the Billboard charts in its first week, debuting at No. 10 with 28,500 equivalent album units earned. Since then, DaBaby has continued to urge fans to support the record, claiming on March 7 that the album provided him and YoungBoy with a good payment regardless of sales.
