2 Chainz & Lil Wayne share “Oprah & Gayle” video with Benny the Butcher.
2 Chainz and Lil Wayne continue putting out new material as they now join forces with Benny the Butcher for the music video of their collab “Oprah & Gayle”. The DJ Toomp produced collab is taken from the duo’s new joint album “Welcome 2 Collegrove.” This follows up their previous visual “Transparency” with Usher.
“What’s a young man without a check? Just a Jumpman / F–k that, Jordan meme / I’ma sip some lean, get a ting and go quarantine / I’ma get some bling let it bling like some Oil Sheen,” raps Wayne.
“Back home, I’m one of the Narcos, semi autos / Dodge fans like New York City potholes / Yeah, the OGs think that it’s funny, money made me more hungry / ‘Cause majority wait til they chubby and then get comfy, nah,” raps Butcher.
The album debuted at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 chart after moving over 34,000 album-equivalent units in the first week.
The duo previously worked together on the 2016 album “ColleGrove”, where only the Georgia rapper was credited as the primary artist due to Wayne’s record label issues. In March 2016, ColleGrove debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. While it was first advertised as a joint collaboration between the rappers, due to Weezy’s label issues, 2 Chainz ended up obtaining credit as the lead artist.
