Kid Cudi pays tribute to Kurt Cobain on SNL.
Kid Cudi was the latest guest at Saturday Night Live for his first solo performance. On the SNL, he performed his tracks called “Tequila Shots” and “Sad People” which appeared on his latest album “Man on the Moon III: The Chosen“.
Why did Kid Cudi do a tribute to Kurt Cobain? During his performance, Cudi pays tribute to the late Kurt Cobain as he wore a green floral dress, just like the Nirvana frontman outfit in “MTV Unplugged” concert in 1993.
When Cudi praised Abloh and retweeted multiple fan tweets about the homage on Sunday morning, he acknowledged that both of his outfits were in honour of Cobain. “Virgil designed the dress for me. I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt [with] a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece. Thank You @virgilabloh ur a f—– genius!! Love you man we did it!!!” Kid Cudi wrote.
Check out his performance below.
It’s been 27 years since Kurt Cobain died. Which as of last week is now longer than he was alive.
Respect to @KidCudi for using his platform & @nbcsnl appearance to pay tribute to Kurt’s legacy of struggle, authenticity, creativity for freedom, vulnerability, & individual style. pic.twitter.com/BItMNmKkMw
