J.I.D. performs for NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
Following the release of his latest album “The Forever Story“, J.I.D is currently on the promo, as he’s been appearing in interviews and also made an appearance on the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards where he performed his songs “Surround Sound” & “Dance Now”.
The rapper now decided to make his debut at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. The Dreamville emcee performed his songs from his albums “The Never Story”, “Dicaprio 2” and the latest “The Forever Story”.
The performance includes songs “Galaxy”, “Workin Out”, “Off da Zoinkys”, “Never”, “Sistanem”, “Surround Sound”, and “Kody Blu 31”.
JID stated that he wanted to branch out from the traditional “hip-hop” genre. “I love all the sub genres of hip-hop, all the new stuff. I love the NY drill scene right now,” he said. “I love them sampling these big a*s pop songs. Love that sh*t, and then I just be trying to represent my city. Georgia, Atlanta. I just try and put that on the map and make sure I pull somebody up along with it because that’s how Atlanta is Doing well, because we help everybody. We help each other.”
