J. Cole headlines iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021.
iHeartRadio Music is back for the eleventh edition of their annual Festival. The show was hosted at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 17th and 18th. On the first day of the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021, one of the star performers was J. Cole who performed a medley of 6 tracks. The Dreamville boss kicked off the set with the performance of “Middle Child,” followed by “The London”, “Power Trip”, “Wet Dreamz,” and “No Role Modelz”.
J. Cole also brought out his label mate Bas for a performance of their recent collaboration “The Jackie.” Jermaine who recently released his sixth studio album “The Off-Season,” did not perform any record from the project. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 288k in the first week.
“I didn’t know what to expect,” J.Cole said after performing “Power Trip”. “I was scared as f**k… I’m not going to lie. [This is my] first time on a stage in two years.”
The Friday night also featured performers like Dua Lipa, Walker Hayes, FINNEAS, Cheap Trick, Darius Rucker, Weezer & Nelly with special guest Florida Georgia Line.
Earlier this year, the North Carolina native, actual name Jermaine Cole, made headlines for realizing his long-held dream of playing professional basketball. J. Cole made his professional basketball debut in May when he played for the Patriots Basketball Club in Rwanda in the Basketball Africa League. The basketball debut of the rapper turned hooper occurred just two days after the premiere of his album The Off-Season.J.Cole’s Off-Season contains successful collaborations with Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Morray, and Cam’ron, and he is slated to tour the album next.
