Gunna performs “Empire” on The Tonight Show.
Gunna continues the promo run for his new album as he made a visit to The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. On the show, he gives a performance of his solo offering “Empire”.
The Georgia rapper is riding high on the success of his latest album “DS4EVER“, as it debuted at number 1 on Billboard 200 after beating The Weeknd’s “Dawn FM” by a small margin.
The project has 19 tracks and boasts guest appearances from resident heartbreaker Drake, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Nechie, and many more. For the second week in a running, the album is expected to outsell The Weeknd’s Dawn FM, with both albums trailing Disney’s Encanto soundtrack.
Gunna’s public spat with rival rapper Freddie Gibbs prompted the release of DS4EVER. Last year, Gibbs said Gunna appeared on the now-defunct TV show Crime Stoppers and referred to him as a “snitch,” which Gunna rejects. On Twitter in early January, the rapper lashed out at Gibbs, writing, “When my album drop Freddie Gibbs will [have] the biggest moment of his career.”
