Nick Cannon kills LA Leakers Freestyle.
Nick Cannon made a visit to Power 106 LA as the latest guest on the LIFTOFF show for his debut LA Leakers freestyle. The Wild ‘n Out star sat down with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk for the 146th instalment of their freestyle series. The Comedian/actor shows off his rapping skills over the beats of EARTHGANG’s “Power” and the UGK classic “Int’l Player’s Anthem.”
“I’m over here painting pictures and y’all worried about the captions. Just read below right here, in the comments, and I promise, it’s happening. They got’ b like, “That n***S ain’t snappin’, Cannon give up on that rappin’, that’ll never go platinum.” Nick Cannon raps, “But my haters say I’m overrated, y’all quit all of that cappin’! Ain’t no way a n***s from Nickelodeon going’ to be flowin’ like that man. ‘He too old to do that again, need to go back to hosting shows, and being Mariah’s hype man!’”
Just over a month has passed since Nick’s comeback to the music scene with the R&B mixtape “Raw N B: The Explicit Tape.” Alone, one of the 14 tracks on the album, is a tribute to his ex-wife Mariah Carey. Other guests include Chris Brown (“I Do”), Rick Ross (“My Pimpin”), 42 Dugg (“P**sy Is Fire”), Ty Dolla Sign (“Nobody Else”), Jacquees (“Lil Bro”), and Brandy (“F.A.I.T.H.F.U.L.”).
Zen’s Light, a charity founded in memory of Cannon’s late son Zen, who lost away at the age of five months last December after a fight with brain cancer, was first revealed back in June. “‘Zen’s Light’ mission is to foster global excellence in hope, grief-care, and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for everyone who joined us at this inaugural event…Can’t wait for next year where our Lighting Gala will continue grow to help find a cure for pediatric Cancer, further research and help console more families during difficult times.”
