Young Guru backs Lil Wayne for a Verzuz against 50 Cent.
Lil Wayne and 50 Cent are in the trends for a Verzuz battle, after it was mentioned in a recent Apple Music’s Rap Life Review Show. During the conversation, Ebro Darden stated that the POWER mogul would “wash” Wayne in a Verzuz battle.
The journalist then doubled down on his statement with a tweet. “What Jadakiss did to Dipset…Is what 50 will do to Wayne,” he wrote.

Following his comments, Young Guru decided to share his opinion on the match up, and backed Weezy to take down Fif. “For the record, y’all are crazy. Wayne would wash 50. Period.”

Previously, Wayne’s longtime collaborator and Cash Money partner Birdman stated that no one can defeat the “Lollipop” rapper in a Verzuz. “Himself, Wayne versus Tunechi,” said Birdman. “He got too much sh*t going on, nobody could touch that. Come on, brother, this is Tunechi. This ni**ga had 100 singles in one year. He passed Elvis in one year. Elvis personally had 101, Wayne did that sh*t in one year. A 100 songs on Billboard, so I don’t think an individual could top that. I’m talking about a 100 hit songs, stands at number 1. The work Wayne put into it, I wouldn’t even play with that sh*t. All you could do is him vs himself. And let them pay both of them.”
Lowkey’s viewpoint was that 50 Cent would not necessarily “wash” Lil Wayne, but the rapper from New Orleans would need to ensure that his song sequence was of the highest quality. “[50 Cent] is a mainstream monster; Wayne is a cultural mainstream monster. But when we talk about these hits? When we talk about these bodies of work? When we talk about these smashes?” He continued, “I ain’t saying 50’s gonna wash Wayne, but if Wayne is not sequenced right and is not positioned correctly, that could be a very long f**king night for Dwayne Carter.”
