Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and others perform at Super Bowl LVI.
It’s the Super Bowl day and Cincinnati Bengals are taking on Los Angeles Rams in the final. The Rams are currently leading at halftime with 13-10 over Bengals. But more than the football match, the fans had been waiting for the halftime show performance from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.
Snoop Dogg kicked off the show with PG version of “The Next Episode”. Followed by Dr. Dre with a performance of 2Pac collab “California Love”. And As rumored, 50 Cent made a surprise appearance to perform “In Da Club”. Mary J. Blige performed her hits “Famiy Affair” as well as “No More” Drama”.
Kendrick Lamar made his grand return with a performance of “M.a.a.D City” and “Alright”. The legendary Eminem performed his iconic track “Lose Yourself” after taking the knee, even after NLF told him not to. The duo of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg concludes the iconic halftime show with a performance of “Still D.R.E.”.
Special guests included 50 Cent, who performed “In da Club,” and Anderson.Paak, who drummed during Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” performance. Three of the five musicians live in the Los Angeles region, therefore it was the first time the five artists played together on one stage. These five Grammy-winning performers have a total of 43 Grammy nominations and 22 No. 1 Billboard albums under their belts. The city is also hosting the annual football tournament for the first time in over 30 years.
Rihanna has admitted that she is both “nervous” and “excited” to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023. The music star’s upcoming engagement will be her first live performance since 2018.
On February 12, 2023, the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona is scheduled to host the Super Bowl LVII. In place of the NFL’s stalwart sponsor Pepsi, Apple Music will be the Halftime Show’s sponsorship for the first time this season.
