Kendrick Lamar’s wife shares a clip of his kids’ reaction to his Grammy win.
The 65th annual Grammy awards took place on Sunday at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, California, where Kendrick Lamar was honoured with three more awards, taking his tally to third most (17) by a rapper. K. Dot won the awards for Best Rap Album for his latest project “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers“, along with Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his incredible track “The Heart Part 5“.
Now Kendrick Lamar’s wife Whitney Alford shares a clip of his 3-year-old daughter’s reaction to the rapper’s speech, which they watched live on TV. “They’re talking about us!” Uzi told her mom. “He’s talking about his family, Uzi and Enoch and mommy.” “Congrats on 3 more @kendricklamar. “First and foremost, I want to thank my family for giving me the courage and, you know, the vulnerability to share these stories and share my truth with this album,” Kendrick said in his speech before calling his latest album his ‘toughest record’.

Kendrick Lamar has been private about his family, choosing to keep them away from the public eye. However, he did mention his daughter in one of his raps on the album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers”. Both of his children are also depicted on the cover art of the album. Kendrick also has a tattoo of the word “Uzi” on his arm, serving as a symbol of his love for his children.
“My children allowed me, in their development as human beings beginning to walk and talk, to remove my ego, to know that my children, too, will have their own independence,” he told W magazine.
