The Idol is an HBO Max Series, and it is called “the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood.” The show is created by The Weeknd, Euphoria director Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim. The series stars The Weeknd himself in the lead role along with Lily Rose Depp. The other cast includes Troye Sivan, Debby Ryan, Rachel Sennott, Steve Zissis and more.
Just the other day, Abel teased new music through his IG live, which also had a Future collaboration. “Baby girl, I can tell that you think that I’m right for you / I already know that it’s not true, but girl I lie to you / Even though it’s wrong,” The Weeknd sings in the teaser.
During the earlier part of the week, the artist provided a sneak peek of his upcoming music releases via Instagram Live. Among the two tracks he shared, one is a collaboration with Future titled “Jealous Guy,” while the other track, “Double Fantasy,” incorporates samples from John Lennon’s song of the same title, and also features Mike Dean on saxophone. The artist also posted several pictures of the late Beatle on his Instagram account.
The upcoming soundtrack project will follow up his last year’s fifth studio album “Dawn FM“.
