NBA Youngboy’s feature fees was too high for The Game.
The Game recently dropped his highly anticipated new album “Drillmatic – Heart vs Mind”, with a long list of 30 tracks. Among other star-studded names on the project, NBA Youngboy also assisted the Compton rapper on the track titled “OPP”, which is now taken off from the album.
The reason behind the removal of the song was high feature price of the Baton Rouge rapper. “Sometimes when it comes down to a situation, that I had to make an executive decision about,” Wack 100 said on Clubhouse. “And in YoungBoy’s defense, YoungBoy charge ni**as $300,000 a verse. That’s what he charge. That’s what it is. I can’t front, he gave us a helluva deal. But that situation would have cut into marketing overall. So, I had to make an executive decision whether I wanted to pay the tab he sent me, which was a respectable great tab. It was love. I can’t front. But, that tab would have cut into that, that and that.”
He continued, “He was gon’ do that for the video and everything. Once you go to video and YouTube—he one of the highest streaming individuals on YouTube… you gon’ get your money back in the long-run. Plus, now your artist is tapping into that fanbase that he might not have. Nothing against YoungBoy. YoungBoy didn’t disrespect us, didn’t violate us.”
“I would have been able to handle the bill. But, originally, the album was gon’ be 20 songs deep. Another 10 songs was added. Six of those was samples. So, some of the budget got ate up in the additional 10, which hindered me from being able to do other things. So that’s what that was. It was just a business decision that I had to make,” added Wack.
The Game also reacted to the removal with a comment. “I ain’t never paid for a verse in my life ni**a,” he wrote. “200k for a 16 [laughing emojis] never & a day blood !!!”
NBA Youngboy was removed from The Game’s album because his feature price was so high it conflicted with the marketing budget.

The album was also meant to have a collab with the late Nipsey Hussle called “World Tours,” but it was not released on Spotify or Apple Music when it was launched and has since been deleted from the compilation album.
Among all the features he’s landed over his illustrious career, The Game recently revealed a collaboration he regrets missing out on. During an interview with Billboard, The Game expressed a desire to work with the late Amy Winehouse. “She’s hard as f**k. Her voice, man. Her voice and my voice with some jazz music would be on some other shit,” he said. “We probably gotta sample some Amy or something and put it over some trombones.”
