Jay-Z reportedly cleared 7 tracks for The Game.
The Game has been prepping the release of his long-awaited come-back album “Drillmatic” throughout this year, and already pushed back a couple of times. The project which was supposed to drop last week again moved ahead with no confirmed date.
According to the Compton rapper, Jay-Z cleared 7 samples for the album. He shared the picture from recent Michael Rubin’s fourth of July party and shouted him out for the sample clearance. “3 more sample clearances and the AOTY belongs to me and Hit-Boy.”

The Game recently dropped his brand new single “Violence” with Hit-Boy from the album which reportedly has around 30 tracks. “I can honestly say nothing rap related will be able to stand next to this in 2022,” he stated previously. “When it drops, I promise you that if you put your ear to it you will then understand why I’m the best rapper alive. My controversy has always stepped on my greatness, but that’s all about to change. This album has a strong hold on being the best album of my career. It’s just different… the last time I pulled over & wrote in my car was “I don’t need your love” on The Documentary. Only thing is, back then it was a U-Haul. Today I pulled over the G-Wagon on Labrea because I couldn’t believe how dope the sh*t in my head was…. I’m parked & I’m not moving until this last song is written & completed. Follow your dreams…. If I could, you can.”
Game collaborated with the musician formerly known as Kanye West earlier this year on the news-making tune “Eazy.” Game praised Ye for providing him impetus for this phase of his career in a later Drink Champs interview, excerpts from which Complex has broken down below.
“It’s crazy that Ye did more for me in the last two weeks than [Dr. Dre] did for me my whole career,” he said during the March-shared interview. “It’s what it is. And so that n***a got me inspired and Ye gonna tell me ‘You got me inspired.’ I watched Ye yesterday tell Elon Musk, like, ‘Game the one that got me inspired.’”
