Snoop Dogg Responds After Kanye West Shouts Out Him For A Impactful Moment Of His Early Life

Snoop Dogg shows love for Kanye West after an IG shoutout.

Kanye West has been very active on Instagram lately, sharing and deleting random posts, including some praise for some of the musicians. On Sunday, Ye shared a screenshot of Snoop Dogg’s Saturday Night Live performance from 1994, where the rapper was donning a Tommy Hilfiger rugby shirt.

“Snoop wearing this Tommy Hilfiger rugby was the most impactful marketing moment of my young life,” Kanye West states in the caption. The Long Beach legend was also quick to respond, as he commented “Love u king. Let’s make. A move. Call the play,” before Ye removed the post from his profile.

During the classic SNL appearance, the owner of Death Row Records was performing “Lodi Dodi”, a cover Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick’s classic “La Di Da Di”, which was featured on his debut studio album “Doggy Style” in 1993.

Since the 1990s, when then-legends who are still respected today were seen donning or speaking about the clothing, the Tommy Hilfiger brand has had close links to the hip hop world. Grand Puba of Brand Nubian, for example, is renowned for being the first rapper to mention the brand in a song. He did so in 1992 on the Mary J. Blige album “What’s the 411?” The brand hired the famous musician as a spokesman in 1996, and he appeared in Tommy Jeans advertisements and became a mainstay in its advertising strategies.
